Two cozy bars in Prague

I decided to take a walk through the fortified town of Vysehrad in the middle of Prague and immediately I made another nice discovery. I walked from the Metro to Vysehrad and at the entrance of the fortified town I immediately came across a very nice and small cozy bar.

1. U Vratislava Adress: V Pevnosti 6, 128 00 Praha 2-Vyšehrad, Tsjechië I had already had a long walk so I thought it was time to have a drink. U Vratislava was the first place I came across and at first it didn't even occur to me that it was a bar. I just thought the building was cozy and wanted to take a picture of it. When I took the picture and I suddenly saw terrace tables on my lens, it only occurred to me that I could also have a drink here. Now just go inside. I was immediately surprised by the friendly welcome from the owner and ordered something fresh to drink, I thought it was a bit too early for a Pivo at one o'clock in the afternoon, although it was of course available. I kept it with a soft drink, but of course you can also get all types of coffee, but unfortunately I am not a coffee drinker. I soon discovered that they also served a good lunch, which I really didn't expect from the outside, given the size of the place. The lunch menu was really extensive with a combination of Czech specialties and all kinds of sandwiches. I chose a typical Czech hot dog and it tasted really good. I had never tried a hot dog in Prague despite it being something that is served a lot in Prague. It was very tasty and topped with cheddar cheese chips and onions. In addition, a typical Czech sauce was allowed. I was really pleasantly surprised. The place was very small and cozy but breathed so much atmosphere. I was also received so openly, highly recommended if you are in the area.

2. U Zavěšenýho Kafe Adress: Loretánská 179, 118 00 Praha 1-Hradčany, Tsjechië

I did not expect that I would discover another pearl of a bar in one and the same day. After I had seen Vysehrad I decided to also visit the castle complexes. When I had seen the castle I decided to take a walk from the Castle to Mala Strana via the Petrin Hill because I wanted to admire the Petrin Tower in the dark, after all it is huge and impressively lit. It was quite a long uphill walk and when I passed U Zavěšenýho Kafe my first thought was actually to continue because from the outside it looked a bit bleak. Because I was thirsty, I decided to step in anyway to quench my thirst at first. Soon it became very cozy between the locals. When you respect the locals, they usually respect you and you can really have a lot of fun with them. After a few Pivo's I decided to ask for the menu because it was now half past seven and time for a bite to eat. I ordered the Goulash, which is one of the Czech Bohemian specialties and I have to tell you that the food was really great. Again, the service was very friendly here. When the clock ticked half past eight I didn't really feel like going yet, but I had to finish my walk anyway. When I left I received a nice handwritten receipt and I didn't have to pay fifteen euros for a good meal including three drinks, so that was also a financial windfall. A real hidden gem!
