Swimming in Prague

There are plenty of places in the city of Prague where you can cool off on a hot summer day.

For example, you can rent a pedal boat and go on an adventure on the Vltava. But in Prague you will also find a lot of outdoor swimming pools. These swimming pools are sometimes located in the most special places. Below is an overview of a few of these special places.

Petynka swimming pool:

Under the smoke of Prague Castle you will find the Petynka swimming pool. The swimming pool has a 50-meter pool, a paddling pool for the little ones, a slide and a spacious sunbathing lawn. Petynka is located in a very special environment with the castle in the background.

Swimming pool Divoká Šárka:

The open-air swimming pool is located in the Divoká Šárka nature reserve. When you get off the tram, you walk for about 15 minutes between the rocks of this nature reserve before you reach Divoká Šárka. In Divoká Šárka you will find a pool for the serious swimmer, a pool for the little ones and a spacious sunbathing lawn.

Podoli Swimming Stadium:

Podoli is the sports center of the city of Prague. In the summer you can swim in the open air and in the winter they can completely cover the pool.

Slavia Prague Swimming Stadium:

The Slavia swimming stadium has an indoor pool for the winter months, but in the summer you can swim outdoors. The swimming pool has both an indoor and an outdoor 50 meter pool. Outside there is also a paddling pool and it also has 2 slides for the children. The swimming pool also has a spacious sunbathing area.
