Traveling with public transport in Prague

There is a lot to see in Prague and to save your strength during and in between walking you can use the excellent public transport network.

The main artery of public transport are the 3 metro lines, namely:

Line A (green line)

Line B (yellow line)

Line C (red line)

The lines intersect at 3 transfer points (prestupni staniche)

Müstek (crossing lines A and B)

Muzeum (crossing lines A and C)

Florenc (crossing lines B and C)

You can get off at many important sights.

National Museum: Muzeum station

Wenceslas Square: Muzeum station, Müstek station

Josefov (Jewish quarter): Staroměstská station

Astronomical clock: Staroměstská station, Müstek station, Náměstí Republiky station

Old Town Square: Staroměstská station, Müstek station, Náměstí Republiky station

Tram line 22 takes you up the mountain towards Prague Castle.

A 24-hour or 72-hour card is also valid on the cable car to Petrin Hill.

Note: Always stamp a newly purchased ticket the first time in the machine on the bus or tram or in front of the escalator at the metro. If you do not do this, you risk a fine of CZK 1000.
